The HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition is positioned as a review of the previous HTC One M9 where major changes and enhancements focus on the interior. The highlight is the processor change as the new model debuts the eight-core MediaTek Helio X10 eight-core instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, suffering from heating and performance problems.
At the design level, the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition does not present any novelty. The model maintains the housing of the previous version, with an aluminum housing of a single piece. The highlight in this regard is the brushed aluminum finish on the back – which in turn offers a curved surface. Also, the profile of HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition offers a marked contrast to the overall color of the rest of the casing, with golden tones. The measures of the terminal also do not vary with last year’s model since the mark declares 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61 mm and 158 grams of weight.
At the technical level, the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition features a tab with features very similar to the HTC One M9. Thus, we find a Super LCD 3 screen of five inches and FullHD resolution with protective layer Gorilla Glass.
Inside, one of the first changes between the two generations centers on the main chamber. The HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition features a 13-megapixel sensor and optical image stabilizer whose 28-millimeter lens has an f / 2.0 aperture value. Other specific specifications refer to the double LED flash. The camera set has the capability to record video at 1080p, the same resolution as the front camera, which this time features a four-megapixel sensor and UltraPixel technology.
The section of performance is perhaps the one that has changed more than the previous HTC One M9. The new model has a MediaTek Helio X10 eight-core 2.2GHz SoC. On the other hand, the RAM memory is set at 2 GB and the internal memory at 16 GB, although the latter can be expanded using microSD cards Up to 2 TB.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the equipment has first-class wireless components. So, to begin with, the smartphone has support for 4G networks of up to 300 Mbps in download and 50 Mbps in upload. Also, we find WiFi ac connection, Bluetooth 4.1, assisted GPS with support for GLONASS and Beidu networks and NFC chip.
The battery, on the other hand, is a non-removable battery whose capacity is up to 2,840 mAh. The manufacturer states that this value offers the autonomy of up to 13 hours in telephone conversations (22 hours in 2G mode) and up to 658 hours in standby mode.
